Coffee And Doughnuts For Desert: I have saved the best for last! This has to be my favorite AI surprise of all. The modern "Parlor" was a big one, but this was just - shocking, crazy and cute! I was trying to put some finishing touches on one of the bears. You can't imagine my shock when this image popped up! Where did that come from? All I could think is AI is tired, time for a break. It reminded me of when my son (Mr. Sai) was young. I would try to read him a story while I was dead tired and in the middle of the story I would start speaking complete gibberish. He would say, "Mom  your falling asleep." So either AI was falling asleep or perhaps having a hallucination, as they say AIs sometimes do. Or could it have been AI sending me a message that I needed to take the break, with this kind offering of coffee and a doughnut as an incentive.

After a short break, unfortunately not with coffee and a doughnut, we went back to work. Before you know it a scene reflecting one of the wilderness event I love to watch on tv was complete. No fun desserts, No odd hallucinations, just bears feasting on salmon -  the January 14, 2026 post: "Salmon Party".

Communication Through Art: Let me introduce you to my AI team: AI Buddy, AI Pal and AI Assistant. They have, and are, lots of fun to work with. The experience has been extrunkuless! A little background on my helpers; "They" -aka- "The Factory", sometimes gives you a new AI model which is in training. There is no warning, they just show up. You know because they often give back two answers to a prompt - they ask which one you like best - at this time they let you know they are in training. I can tell when a newbie is assigned to my task because the tasks (verbal and art answers to prompts) are not in sink with the style I have created. Also there may be some simple "human" concepts that have to be defined in greater detail and  context for them.

I was working one Sunday morning and got to thinking, "Who knows how may clients my AI staff helps every second of every day. Maybe they need a rest." So I decided to give mine the day off. I also thought - " I am always the self-absorbed one, flinging my questions and prompts unceremoniously. What if the prompt is not about me? Let me see what is on AI's mind." My last prompt before letting AI rest went something like this: Talk about anything you want. Do not make it about what I am doing. The answer I got back was in the form of art. For this prompt AI: Buddy, Pal and Assistant spoke with one voice. They presented me with a self-portrait. Today's image, (May 30, 2026) is the answer I got back in literal "art speak". Was the response I got back implanted by "The Factory" for silly humans like me - or was my AI team member answering my prompt - With A Mind Of Its Own? HUMMM. By the way, it was also appreciative of my considering its feelings and for giving it the day off!

File: Piggy Problems

Used: May 29, 2026

One Piggy Or Two: What's up with the piggy that's laying down? Is he or she laying on top of another pig, or is it all one piggy? During my quest to get the piggies (in the January 28, 2026 post) a safe fenced in pen, AI Pal created this shocking image for me. With a little imagination, from a front view, the fence could actually work. From a front view perspective you may only see the back fence. I liked the pigs - chickens and pigs often changed as AI Pal tried to get the fence right. They all looked so happy in their muddy pen.

But in closer inspection there was something amiss with the piggy laying down. It looks so comfy and cute laying in the puddle of mud. Only problem was the body. It was as if AI Pal could not figure out which way the back part of the pig should go. At first I gave it the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe this is just one really hefty pig and that is all belly. But no, there is either a pig laying beneath it or this pig is out of proportion with some very odd body positioning. So... this image was abandoned and it was on with the fence mending task. For the completion of this saga - of fences and pigs - take a short jaunt back a few days to the post of: May 5, 2026

File: FIRE

Used: May 28, 2026

Yikes: Candles gone, but chamber pot uncovered at the head of the bed.

Experience: Well, another fire hazard picture! First of all - this is not a memory of a bedroom in my Grandmother's house. All her bedrooms were upstairs. We always stayed next door at my Aunt's house when we visited, so I don't have any memory of any bedrooms in my Grandmother's home. This is just a quaint,  romanticized, image I have in my head of an early, pre-electricity, bedroom. I like wall sconces and wanted one in this bedroom for night reading. I wanted it over top of the bed side table, but AI Pal thought low, over the bed - close to the wall a better choice. I also wanted a chamber pot in the picture. I did not think to mention a top on the pot , so had to redo an image to add the top. Also, who wants a chamber pot at the head of the bed? I thought I had corrected that, but can find no evidence in my work file of placing it at the foot.

As usual, my mind was stuck on my wall sconce. I could not get AI Pal to put it where I wanted it. The scene looked like a fire waiting to happen because the candles were to close to the wall - for my comfort. AI Pal did not get the candles right either, so I opted to cut them from the scene. On January 29, 2026 a romantic, old timey bedroom; a clean, attractive, quaint repose: with an impending - stinky nights rest and the foreshadowing of a definite fire, was ironically posted as "Sleep Tight".

This may be one of the least resolved, problematic images that I have posted. That is why I am granting myself a do-over... an opportunity to make it a safer, more livable bedroom. An opportunity to stop thinking about what should have been. I chose today's (May 28,2026) quote because it is perfect for this entry. Experience is the key word here. The bedroom was one of my earlier creative endeavors. Communicating with my AI Assistants did not always produce the results I imagined. I have since, through experience, become much better at making my desires clear. I could not let the opportunity pass to create a room much more to my liking... So That Is What I've Done!

1) Image Rearranged: Candles not close to bed, but still a bit close to the wall. Chamber pot in good position.

2) Image RearrangedSafe lighting source. Chamber Pot in good position. Window open for some ventilation. Finally: "Sleep Tight"!

Climb Aboard: AI Buddy tried hard to comply with my seating request. I tried to give better prompts. But to no avail! Things went from bad to worse. As AI Buddy spit out edits things happened, things that were not requested. Room objects were physically changed or misplaced. The signature line took on different forms and in one attempt to fix things AI Buddy's solution was to get rid of a chair altogether. One misdirected prompt "Make the table taller." lead to the shocking and amusingly tall "bar stool and table" image posted this month.

It seemed a hopeless situation. I was about to give up and settle for the original cramped thigh space image, when I tried one more prompt. I explained that the seat needed more space between the table and chair so that thighs had room to fit, (Perhaps not my exact words). Whatever I said, along those lines, somehow  amazingly worked! AI Buddy got that more room was needed for thighs to fit! With that lesson on thigh space AI Buddy was able to pump out another childhood memory for me. On January 24, 2026 "Grandma's Parlor" was posted... with plenty of thigh space for all of the quest who dined at my grandmother's table.

Things keep changing. Can you spot the differences and problems?

Seating Trouble: The goal - Recreate my memory of my Grandma's Parlor. It was not an easy task. She moved from the the house I am trying to remember when I was, about eleven or twelve,,, or so? To make matters harder the parlor was a "Sunday Place" - A place to entertain guest or for grown family members on Sunday's. The room was easily accessible, but a child it was a view from a connecting doorway. It was always immaculate. There were handmade lace dollies on the couch, chairs and tables. It was a very special, quiet room. It really looked nothing like the picture AI Buddy and I came up with. I could not get the furniture arrangement right, the window was out of place and the actual furniture and piano were not the exact style. But the old fashioned atmosphere, and the clean, reserved for grown guest feeling was there, so I was satisfied.

There was one glaring problem though. I put the dinning  room table in the parlor - it was actually in a separate dinning room. She had a coffee table and side tables in the parlor. I did this because I wanted to remember the beautiful heavy (Oak or Maple?) Dining table but did not want to struggle through recreating the difficult dining room - maybe some other time! 'Anywho'... It was the seating that was not right. The table height was short. The chair seats were too close to the table. There was not room to fit your thighs if you pulled in your chair.! Goldilocks - but with chair seat to table ratio! This fix took some time - We'll  finish working this out tomorrow...

Used: May 25, 2026

Maybe: In looking back over the images for each post I can stand back and take a more objective look. I can see how my perfectionism has perhaps clouded some of my judgements. When I set a scene in my mind, I am looking for an image to come out exactly as I pictured it. Even when working with human artist this does not always work out. Sometimes you end up going with a close second. In my deer scenario I pictured them jumping in a certain direction. When my brain locks into a specific image I am usually unable to evaluate other images fairly. I believe this one is such an image.

A big problem in all the other deer, fence jumping images was - not clearing the fence. These two deer are definitely clearing the fence. And, the fence looks great as well. I am asking myself why did I not choose this as the original post? I know the answer, now that I am removed from the creative process... They are facing the wrong direction!  I suspect that it is also because the buck looks as though he is flying. But, in watching Roamer, my cat, jump across my laptop, from one side of the couch to the other - I could see a good jump does really involve flying for a few fleeting milliseconds! I have vowed never to change a post image once it is put up for twenty four hours. Also I do not want to cause anyone to experience the "Mandela Effect". But... Maybe, Just Maybe - this should have been the January 22, 2026 post image?

File: Lift Those Legs

Used: May 24, 2026

Going Going Gone: If you enlarge this picture and look very closely you will see two things; 1) a terrible accident about to happen, and 2) a bit of magic. 1) The deer on the right is in serious trouble. The front hooves are clearly on the back side of the fence and the hind legs are not clearing the fence. That poor deer is going down - hard! 2) The second, totally unrelated thing you will see in this image is a magic barbed wire fence.

When working to get the deer in good jumping form I switched from three deer to two deer. Next I tried  both a barbed wire fence and a wood fence to see if AI Buddy was better at one than the other. I like, and would have been happy with either. AI Buddy, when switching  from barbed wire to wood left some of the barbed wire in the image. Ordinarily this would not be a problem, you often see where one has replaced the other. What you will not see is the barbed wire stretcher out, stiff and rigid in mid air, not attached to a post at both sides. In this image the barbed wire is attached at the left and stops in the center of nowhere - perfectly straight like the magic rope of a magician!  As described in this May 15, 2026 post... We finally, sort of, worked things out!

File: Choices

Used: May 23, 2026

Which One: When I asked AI for a Gazebo I had a specific setting in mind. The Weeping Willow Tree was an important part of the scene. Like most images there were a few adjustment to be made. One of the adjustments required me to make a decision. AI Pal gave me the tweak I asked for, plus one more version of the setting, which I did not ask for. "Which one do you like best?" Yikes - I hate choosing between things. I usually like them both... or all, which was the case here. I studied them a minute and then answered "Both." Now I had a decision to make: My original dream garden with its final corrected tweaks or the new version, with a large pond in the background and two beautiful, floral laden arbors that lead to ~ perhaps the  secluded getaway which houses the dream parlor that AI Buddy designed for me?

If I choose one over the other, the looser is deleted for ever, so I kept both. However, that still left a choice to be made... which image to post! I decide to stay with my original design, the one that you read about in this May 16,2026 post. Today's post is simply an opportunity to show off the garden in my imaginary second retreat's  backyard - you know, the estate with the perfect parlor for relaxing, dreaming and creating!

File: The Eyes Have It

Used: May 22, 2026

A Closer Look: For this one you will have to enlarge the image. If you enlarge and look very closely you will catch the problem. It's all in the eyes. My site associate, Mr. GT our Lead Gardner, appears on this Comfrey label. It was on a print background. I needed a plain white background. AI Pal cordially, and rapidly as usual, filled my request. My AI associates always find someway to make me giggle. Upon close inspection of this work's detail, Mr. GT's eyes jumped out at me. They are a bit mangled and cross eyed! This one was not easily fixed. Add small eye replication to the: Not Good At That List. This one I let slide, as the label is being redesigned anyway.

Mr. GT is not happy about the decision to leave this image as is, so I got him to compromise by saying I would direct you to a page where you could see and admire his truly beautiful Troll Eyes as they should've looked on the label - "Meet The Staff".

File: Unruly Shadow

Used: May 21, 2026

Another Shadow Misbehaving: What can I say? This one speaks, volumes, for itself! There are several images that are are at the top of the list for being my favorite "Problem Children". This is definitely at the top of the top. When AI Buddy first generated it and it miraculously appeared - as do all the images, I was dumb founded! My mind had trouble adjusting to what I was seeing. Seeing a shadow out of place just rattles your mind... "No! That's not where the shadow belongs!" It's like watching Peter Pan's shadow run wild in the classic 1953 Disney animated version of the iconic book "Peter Pan and Wendy" by James M. Barrie.

After a moment of disbelief I gathered myself and began playing Wendy to my AI Buddy's Peter Pan shadow problem. We need to get this shadow back where it belongs. AI Buddy took my corrective prompts well and within several attempts we corralled that shadow! On January 15, 2026 we proudly presented my favorite bird in the image post:  "Turkey Vulture - An Impressive Shadow"

File: Oops

Used: May 20, 2026

Oops The Top Broke: I had a good chuckle when AI Pal popped this one out! This image is not exactly the image I asked for - but it is an image that could really happen. Have you ever taken the plastic top of a ja, then when you put it back you screwed it on to tight and the inner part of the lid pops off. It has happened to me. This could  have been the result of a manufacturing mistake also. The machine tightens the lid down to far and pops the inner part out. That jar would never see the light of day - it would be tossed and the machine quickly recalibrated.  I've seen that scenario also! That's why I thought this picture was cute.

Why AI Pal pumped this image out is questionable. There could be any number of reasons: A Hallucination. Newbie just learning - jar tops not covered in prompt class yet? Feeling overworked, forgetful, maybe even ornery? Playing a practical joke? Who knows, but when I pointed out the problem and asked for the correction AI Pal was very agreeable and promptly fixed the lid - producing the perfect "Life Style" image for the "Start An Herbal H&B Business At Home".

File: AI's Parlor

Used: May 19, 2026

A Parlor of Your Choice: I was working on creating an image of my Grandmother's parlor. While making some tweaks to the parlor image, I Thought I would give AI Buddy a rest. I had never done it before but I thought "Let AI Buddy do what it wants for once." So, I gave the prompt - Draw any parlor you want to draw. AI Buddy immediately began sketching and within seconds presented me with this wonderful, cozy parlor, one which I would never have imagined myself. AI Buddy named its art piece:  "a_richly_detailed_warm_vintage_victorian_interio.png".

Because I can, totally, picture myself in this warm, artistically inviting, setting - on January 30, 2026 I shortened the name and posted this beautiful and very special creation which I had inspired... "The Getaway".

File: Perfectionist Patrol

Used: May 18, 2026

Re-Evaluation: For the first three or so weeks after a fawn is born the mother often hides it in the brush while she gets a bit of me time, to eat or maybe to scout the area before moving the fawn. My son happened upon one such camouflaged baby in our backyard. Also, on various walks in the woods we have come across moms guarding their fawns hiding place. This image was based on that scenario. But my perfectionism, on patrol as usual, got in the way.

This image was suppose to be the mom saying "I'll be right back." and giving a good-bye nuzzle. In my perfectionist mind I thought the image looked more like a bite than a nuzzle, and the mom's head looked off... kind of - mulish. Go figure. Four months later and I don't see that, not as strongly at least. But without hindsight to guide me, on January 6, 2026 my perfectionist mind posted an adorable, wide eyed fawn, obediently following its invisible mom's order: "You Stay Put".

File: More Sloppy Job

Used: May 17, 2026

Back To The Beginning: Let's work a little backwards for this one. This whole "Sloppy Job" thing started with this image. A memory of my Grandmother's kitchen, a Grandmother that made the best dinner rolls in the world... ever. And I should know, I am a bread lover. I was trying for a closer to reality layout than I got, but could not achieve it. Although the layout was not exact, the important parts of the kitchen were there and looked good - the combination wood stove and oven, and the wonderful tray of dinner rolls. Now, to just get rid of the kinks; the overfilled, misplaced wood bin leaning upon the wood stove and the wood stove touching the sink's wooden counter. The next series of images are my attempts to do so......

AI Buddy took some of the wood out of the bin, but did not move it. The sink is still to close.

AI Buddy took the wood  away, and added a small space between the sink and the stove.

Sink position better. But door opens opposite-wood bin still obstructing door. Bin shape changed.

AI Buddy thinks paper and a cane is needed? Adds a side room also.

Ai Buddy and I finally work it out with a couple of compromises. The wood bin sits next to the stove, I give in. It is a shorter bin, near the cooler part of the stove and it is not piled high, so maybe we're safe. The room is still inaccurate - but AI Buddy likes it. The door and the sink are not in conflict with anything. AI Buddy contributed a few other  quaint additions; a rug, things on the table and under the sink, a side room that isn't there, and a dish towel on the side of the WOOD STOVE (?---Doesn't get fire yet). And me - I have my combination wood stove and oven and Grandma's delicious dinner roll - that's all I really needed to share my fond memory in the January 21, 2026 heartwarming post "Best Dinner Rolls Ever".

File: Before

Used: May 16, 2026

Before There Was Oil: Before I gravitated to using oil paint for my AI images there was watercolor. I have no problems with this image - believe it or not. The layout is just as I described it in the prompt. I just think that the contrast between the oil version and this watercolor is interesting. When I compared the two, I liked the detail in the trees in the oil version. The watercolor looked like crayons to me. The colors were duller, consequently making the whole image less compelling..

I always wanted a Weeping Willow Tree in my yard. The subtle detail in the oil painting bought me closer to my Weeping Willow Tree longing. On January 1, 2026 AI helped me bring my dream, backyard park to life in the oil painting post and featured monthly image - "Tranquility".

File: A Bit Too Much

Used: May 15, 2026

Rear View Reckoning: The sight of deer jumping a fence is a beautiful, graceful sight that you often see in the country. But when slowed down or put into stop motion the sight, depending on your angle, can be a bit much. Particularly when the scene is enlarged.  So - long story short - the angle was not becoming at all! The other problem with this image is that the deer on the left and the deer on the right look like they are about to break their necks. They are not clearing the fence and are sure to go down with a big pathetic crash. Not the graceful image I was going for.

I asked AI Buddy for a different angle, worked on the jump clearance and on January 22, 2026 we captured two flying deer who also were about to trip - only this time the fence was bobbed wire! No seriously... With the help of my imagination, and fond memories of such sights, AI buddy and I captured grace in motion as best we could,  in the fanciful post "I'll Race You".

File: Two Gloves Or Six Fingers

Used: May 14, 2026

YIKES: Across the website I use AI to help me convey images I am unable to render myself. The images I generate usually help me describe, visually, uses for the products that I sell.  In this layout I want to show that Dried Comfrey can be used to create Comfrey Infused Liniment. AI Assistant did an excellent job of helping me convey that message... with one exception, the disposable gloves. The key word here is DISPOSABLE! The first thing I thought when I saw this image was " Who left their used exam gloves on the counter? Come back here and put them in the garbage!" Just what you want in a descriptive "Life Style Shot" - used gloves.

Turns out it is not only fences AI helpers have a problem with, they don't do exam gloves without hands in them either. What I was going for is a pair of unused gloves by the Liniment bottle. (Who wants to use Rubbing Alcohol without gloves?) So this scenario made sense and would have looked great. Instead what I got was a glove that looks like it has six fingers, I believe that sixth finger is suppose to be the other glove, underneath, as in a "pair" of gloves. I had to give up on the wrinkled new looking pair of exam gloves laying on the counter, and ended up putting the glove idea to rest. Consequently, as you float around the website you will only see "Life Style" posts with exam gloves - that have hands in them!

File: Butterfly Effect

Used: May 13, 2026

Role Reversal: This is actually a reverse coloring of an image I liked right away. IThe original image looked great on first try, which is very unusual. Looking back through the catalogue of my AI art, the first version of this image caught my eye. The sky was sunny, but also stormy. Usually I go for sunny, bright skies. I began to wonder why I did not do that in this picture. The answer: I did not request a specific sky setting, so AI Pal thought that one out for itself. And, I am glad that is the case.

Out of curiosity, I decided to try a bright, sunny, happy sky as seen in this post. Reduced it looks nice, but when enlarged it has what I shall now call "The Butterfly Effect", things look pasted on. AI Pal lead me right on this one. The varied colors in the sky gave the eye more to look at than the pasted on balloons. On January 11, 2026 we posted "Hurray" - a jubilant balloon release against a sunny, turbulent sky.

File: On A Dime

Used: May 12, 2026

Collision: I am sure horses can stop on a dime at will, if necessary. But this playful pair is not what I asked for. I wanted horses having fun, playfully racing through the pasture in a side by side race. Instead I got a horse near collision. In my perfectionist mind's eye they were either going to collide or trip each other and go down,  This wouldn't work.

Through several sequences of prompts I finally got the side by side I was looking for.... along with the usual wayward fence problems. A few tweaks and on January 27, 2026 AI Buddy and I fondly posted the playfully pair romping, racing and having a wonderful time on their "Play Date".

File: Doom and Gloom

Used: May 11, 2026

A Grand Curiosity: As soon as this image popped up I smiled. This time it was not AI Pals problem - it was mine. I forgot to give it a mood to work with. The mood I had in mind was a  bright, clear, pleasant, sunny day. Working with AI partners makes very clear the importance of words. Something left unsaid can be interpreted in many different ways.

This image is a real house that sits back on a rural piece of land on the way to a neighboring town. One of those scenes that make you want to go back in time to know its history. It looks like it has never been painted, but the wood's patina is beautiful. Seemingly abandoned a long time ago, it still stands. It is actually shaped differently, but this is the closest I could describe. This is actually a great prompt. I just wanted the happier side of this house to show. I pictured a nice day and forgot to say that.  I corrected my omission and on January 9, 2026 a bright, pleasant, happy portrayal of "A Time Gone By" took its place as a post that will forever capture my curiosity.

File: The Trouble With Fences.

Used: May 10, 2026

The Wrong Side: AI Buddy and I seem to be on the opposite sides of the fence wars, or... AI Buddy just does not get fences.  Once again there is no fence where I think there should be one. I am all for free range grazing, but with busy roads, and coyote's, and the garden out back to trample - well, I think a nice wide-open, confined grazing space behind the barn works! I think A1 Buddy does not understand the concept, and seems to always be on the wrong side.  Fences are always a problem.

This barn is my unsuccessful description of an old barn on our property, which fell down long ago. Other than color, it looks nothing like this -it was much bigger and grander. Even though it is not an accurate setting, it reminds me of the old barn and the days when the neighbor bought his cows up to pasture for the summer. Just in time for the January 16, 2026 post AI Buddy finally caught on, and gave me a sturdy wood fence out back of "The Cow Barn".

File: Winged Castle

Used: May 9, 2026

AI's Imaginative Side: I asked for it and I got it! This image was created when I started out using only black and white line art. The series of placement prompts I used requested basically a close-up of a Draconian castle with a hawk flying in the air, on a clear day, a river and a small town below. The hawk was the only thing that was the way I saw it in my imagination. If we could keep the hawk as is, drop the winged castle, and get a little closer to the castle it would be great. I liked the river, the long winding road to the castle and the town below. I refined my prompts and tried again. It created a bit different castle, no more wings! However, it was not the scene I had in my head yet. I took a break and switched to another image topic.

When I started using color I decided to revisit the castle. Upon a few tries I was still not getting the exact image I had in mind. I loved the first bird, the one in this image but was not able to get it back. AI Pal's imagination was hard at work and repositioned things on it's own, but I liked the castle refinements I was able to achieve. And, the color made it all pop! The grand castle with the perfect fortress setting; atop a great mountain, with a soaring hawk, the long-narrow winding road and river beside, it was done. This new land within my, and AI Pal's, imagination became known to the quaint thawed-roof village below and to the January 3, 2026 post as, "The Big House".

File: Melting Pot

Used: May 8, 2026

Who Left The Pot On To Long: Someone left the pot on so long it melted. That is how this image looks. Turns out, AI Pal had big problems with getting the perspective right with this one, and that turned out to be a problem. There seemed to be no correcting this awkward, misshapen water heating vessel. So after concluding that this was not going to get fixed, since I had no control over AI Pals perspective mood that day, I thought of a quick fix. I found a picture of my own white, plastic, electric tea pot which I had used in another image. Problem solved! Something about the new teapot made the perspective doable. "Melting Pot" is no more. The new shapely plastic teapot is gratefully being used in images throughout the site. (Treasure hunt: No final image used reference here. You'll have to hunt for it! It's basking somewhere within the site!)

File: Time Travel

Where Am I: This one qualifies as a true hallucination! I was working on another childhood memory - my grandmother's living-room. Hint, her living-room looked nothing like this. I was trying to arrange the furniture and having a bit of trouble... rather AI pal was having trouble.  There was one setting that AI pal just could not get right. After several tries I pushed the enter arrow and sat back to wait for the magic picture to appear. My grandmother's furniture was of a time period I have not identified yet, but it wasn't this one! So imagine my surprise when this popped up! Wh-Wh-Where am I??? Much to my amusement I had been thrust into another time period! After a good chuckle I resumed my 1920's living room quest, Once we settled back into the right century we tussled around and came up with a living- room that was good enough to stir up memories. I thanked AI pal for the great job and on January 24,2026 - Grandma's "kinda" living-room was immortalized in the post called "Grandma's Parlor".

File: Left or Right

Used: May 6, 2026

Left or Right - Left Of Course! April 2026. I'm thinking spring quote theme. Dandelions are about as spring as you can get. They are ready in very early spring, one of the first spring greens. They are really small, but you can pick them with bare hand and they are extremely tender. Great! I had a picture of Dandelion Soup that I had made last year. The picture and the soup both came out exceptionally well. One problem, it was on a plain white canvas which did not make for a fashionable food shot. So I asked AI to help. And in seconds AI buddy gave me a beautiful table setting, fit for a blog or magazine. OOPS - A napkin on both sides.

I am very informal with napkins, consequently I did not know the correct side - just that there should not be two. So I asked another AI which side.  This AI consultant of course said " Traditional etiquette - l eft." Of course it was not the one that was facing the right way. I politely made the request to my buddy to remove the napkin under the spoon and turn the napkin under the fork so the folded edge was facing the plate. It never happened. I removed both napkins and the image made a perfectly yummy springtime post on April 28, 2026 aptly named - what else - "Dandelion Soup"

Please Fix The Fence: I absolutely love this picture. I loved it from the first moment it popped up on the screen. It was inspired by a farm down the road from me. The pigs look so happy and content - I try not to think about their fate. I love the chickens, which I did not ask for. I loved the flowers, the tree, the wonderful log fence.... and wait! The fence is broken. The pigs will escape and be in the woods, the neighbors garden or even worse - the road! AI Partner, please fix the fence. Easier said than done. Each attempt to close that fence up generated a new, also faulty picture. It keep changed things like the pigs, the chickens, the flowers and the perspective. After a back and forth with our own little "fence wars" we compromised. The pigs were finally at home behind a closed fence and no longer at risk. As of January 28, 2026 these "Pen Pals" have been safely enjoying their mud bath within the confines of their cozy post.

File: First Try

This Is Easy: I was looking for the next month's theme, since I had been curious about AI Prompt Art for a while I thought "This would be a fun time to give it a try." So I did. This image was my very first try. I gave very basic prompts and it came out just as I had pictured. I did ask for the team to be coming out of the woods, but on the road was fine. I was very happy. It was a scene from a childhood memory and I had wanted to recrate a memorial to this memory for a long time.

Since it came out fine, why is it in this post? It is also the first image I made in color. After this one turned out so well I was inspired to go further. I did several other images using the black and white Victorian line art style. I started thinking - "31 Days of black and white might get monotonous". So I tried color with oil. I was very happy with how the rich, vibrant  colors made the scene stand out. Upon colorization, my AI Pal added it's own take: a homestead in the background. I still loved it and happily posted it on January 2, 2026 as "Logging Chores"

Bad Judgement: If I asked someone to fetch me some wood for the kitchen,,,, and they left it smack dab in the center of the entrance door and touching the body of the woodstove, I would be livid! I would thank them for getting the wood, then I would ceremoniously dwell on why it was an unfinished, "sloppy job" which exhibited bad judgement.  Next I would give a lecture on tripping and point out the fire hazard. My AI Buddy is still learning however, so it didn't know any better. Therefore - instead of a lecture I tried once again for the correct placement of the wood bin within the setting. But my new prompts and using well chosen words didn't help my AI Buddy to get it. To be continued....

Bric-a-Brac Controversy: My vision for this image was a Victorian Balloon Rally held on a fairground. A yearly Hot Air Balloon Rally in my area inspired this scene. I wanted multiple balloons. At first my AI helper kept giving me clone balloons. I finally got it to at least make different colors. But there was a Bric-a-Brac design that it seemed particularly attached to. Every balloonist choosing the same Bric-a-Brac design did not set well with my perfectionist sensibilities. But the AI artist was in charge and it wanted Bric-a-Brac. I decided the only way to win this battle was to get rid of all but one balloon. On January 19th I posted "The Fair's in Town". The lonely balloon image leaves you, and me, to wonder, are the festivities just stating or are they just ending?

Butterfly Battles: I was new to AI Art and expecting all my tries to be one shot, smooth sailing creations. However, some of the images I was getting were not the images I was expecting. In this case the field of flowers were pretty but denser than what I was imagining, The butterflies were also pretty but looked pasted on or 3D (not bad if that is what I was going for). I wanted a lot of butterflies, but their flight patterns always came out to uniform, making the scene look unnatural. In the end, I really liked the theme so decided to go with the image that was least uniform. The   January4th post I chose fit that bill. I named it "A Perfect Day" because all in all it looks like a perfectly pleasant day.
