- September 4, 2026 - Woke up to another one of those pesky "Strong Storms" somewhere in the region! Thankfully we did not get the full effects of it's fury, However, it did knock out electric, internet and landline phone service. Our cell phone reception is terrible, which makes communication very difficult... SO!

The electric was restored within two days, Hurray!!!

The internet and land line took much longer. I spent my days taking pictures of, and gathering, Goldenrod. So you will probably see a lot of Goldenrod pictures this month! September is always the beautiful "Golden Month".

In outages we have to walk up the hill to an open field, and search for bars to gain access to the internet or the cell phone. Trying to communicate took most of our time. It is amazing, and terrifying, how much we depend on the internet and phone service being at our disposal.

Turns out, after waiting days for a phone company technician, we learned that our Router was destroyed, by either lightning strike or power serge. September 8, 2026 communication restored.
