A Quick Note About My Quotes
In a quick note about my quotes, I would first like to say - Welcome and Thank You for your interest in Tea Room Quotes. Each month you will find one of my original quotes nestled amongst a curated collection of eclectic quotes from renowned wordsmiths and famous people.
My quotes are inspired by my personal observations: situations that I have heard about or witnessed, but mostly situations that I have experienced. Born of those encounters, each of my quotes then come to me and take the tangible form of words on paper.
The World Of Quotes
In working with, and gathering quotes I have witnessed the phenomena of "like thinking" at work. As humans we all have the same needs and emotions. We share similar experiences and situations. Consequently, the more you delve into quotes the more you will find like or similar ideas expressed by authors. These common thoughts are timeless. Quote themes written centuries ago send out echoes which intersect and intertwining with quote themes that are being written with each turn of the earth - as it spins through time. Although timeless quote themes may be similar in content,, authors express them in their own unique way. Their quote framework is crafted using each individual author's own slant, experience and wordsmithing style. Chances are great, and probable, that the author has actually experienced a profound human moment, expressed it in an original quotable format and has not just reworked someone else's idea. To me these occurrences of like thought are fascinating and it shows the commonality of the human experience.
My World Of Quotes
I have always loved quotes. They are words of wisdom that may offer some type of warning or which advice and may be delivered in a serious tone or with satirical humor. They are often words which open a door to some existential awareness. Sometimes they are just silly and fun.
I have always collected quotes , but of late I have started authoring my own... my experiences in the form of quotes. I don't sit down and work at formulating them, they just pop into my head as I go about my daily chores. They have a mind of their own. My quotes are spirited by a passing thought of something that has happened, or is happening, in my personal life. Then sometimes my quotes are simply life observations in general.
Verifying My Quote's Originality
I verify my that each of my quotes are original by hunting available data bases to see if my "EXACT" words are found and "Claimed" as an official quote by a documented author or a documented quote with an unknown or questionable authorship. As pointed out above: Ideas, topics and concepts will always collide. They have collided throughout history, however, it is the word structure that sets them apart. Although... I personally know that my quotes are original thoughts, and that it is 99.999 percent likely that I will not find a quote expressed in my "EXACT SAME WORDS", it is still very important to verify each quote's originality.
Thank You
I have started to accumulate a small collection of my original quotes. No matter how inconsequential my personal notability, they are still my words and I want to be given credit for crating them. How do I protect my quote catalog? That is the question. Turns out, like most things in life, it is not simple! In seeking the answer to this question I have found out that the gates are well guarded.
So, in conclusion I would like to Thank You in advance for taking the time and having the consideration to help me keep my quotes my own, not just some wayward intellectual property destined to become lost in a vast sea of unprotected words. By having the consideration to credit my quote authorship you are helping me to cement my words in the annals of time.... The amount of times a quote is publicly used is one of the highly valued criteria in becoming part of the "Quotable" elite. Once again:
Thank You For Your Support In Helping Me To Become A Quoted "Un-Notable" Of Note.
