A Quick Note About My Quotes
In a quick note about my quotes I would first like to say Welcome and Thank You for your interest in my quote section. The quotes in this section are all my original writings. They are thoughts based on observations and situations that I have witnessed, encountered and experienced throughout my life time and put into the tangible form of words.
In working with quotes I have witnessed the phenomena of 'like thinking' at work. As humans we all have the same needs and emotions. We share similar experiences and situations. Consequently, the more you delve into quotes the more you will find like or similar ideas expressed by authors. Although similar, the authors have expressed them in their own unique way. The quote framework is crafted using each individual author's own slant, experience and word style. Chances are great that the author has actually experienced the quote concept and has not just reworked someone else's idea. To me this just shows the commonness of the human experience.
I verify my quotes as original by hunting data bases to see if my "EXACT" words are found and "Claimed as an official quote by a documented author or a documented quote with an unknown or questionable author. As pointed out above: Ideas, topics and concepts will always collide. They have collided throughout time, however, it is the word structure that sets them apart.
I have always loved quotes. They are words of wisdom that usually heed some type of warning, offer humor or which open a door to some existential awareness. Of late I have started authoring my own experiences in the form of quotes. I don't sit down and work at formulating them, they just pop into my head as I go about my daily chores. They have a mind of their own. My quotes are spirited by a passing thought of something that has happened in the past or something that is happening currently. It could be about my past and present or about life observations in general. My searches for confirmation of originality for each of my quotes are presented blow along side the corresponding quote.
I have started to accumulate a small collection of my original quotes. No matter how inconsequential my personal notability, they are still my words and I want to be given credit for crating them. How do I protect my quotes? That is the question. Turns out, like most things in life, it is not simple! In seeking the answer to this question I have found out that the gates are well keep.
So, I would like to thank you in advance for taking the time and having the consideration to help me keep my quotes my own, not just some wayward intellectual property destined to become lost in a vast sea of unprotected words. By having the consideration to site the quote which has bought you to this section you are helping me to cement my words in the annals of time (one of the highly valued criteria in becoming considered quotable).
And perhaps, some day I may become... a quoted "Un-Notable" of Note. Once again:
Thank You For Your Support.
